Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Cashbox in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. "You" refers to the individual or entity accessing the service. "We", "us", or "STEPlus" refers to STEPlus Technologies, the company that operates Cashbox.

Cashbox is a web-based business ledger and cash flow tracking application. It allows you to:

• Create and manage multiple businesses with distinct ledgers. • Add parties (customers and suppliers) and record financial transactions. • Track receivables (money owed to you) and payables (money you owe). • View real-time cash flow analytics, aging reports, and summaries. • Export data as PDF and CSV reports. • Share read-only chat or data views via secure share links.

Cashbox is a financial record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, payment processor, tax advisor, or certified accounting system. It should not be used as a substitute for professional financial or legal advice.

To use Cashbox, you must create an account with a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential. • All activity that occurs under your account. • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. • Providing accurate and up-to-date information.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, contain fraudulent information, or are used for unauthorized purposes.

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Cashbox, including business information, party details, transaction records, and notes. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the Cashbox service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.

You may export your data at any time using the built-in CSV and PDF export features. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

You agree not to use Cashbox to:

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation. • Store, transmit, or process data that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or harmful. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our infrastructure. • Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks connected to the service. • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application. • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without our written consent. • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity. • Use the service for money laundering, fraud, or any other financial crime.

Cashbox is currently offered free of charge with all features included. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans, premium features, or pricing changes in the future. If we do, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice. Existing free features at the time of any pricing change will remain free for current users.

We strive to keep Cashbox available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time. For material changes that affect your data or workflow, we will provide reasonable advance notice via email or in-app notification.

The Cashbox name, logo, user interface, source code, design elements, and documentation are the intellectual property of STEPlus Technologies and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Cashbox application or its content without our prior written permission.

Cashbox is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, STEPlus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free-tier users, is zero).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless STEPlus, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of Cashbox shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at the email below. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue within 30 business days.

You may stop using Cashbox and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if continued service is no longer commercially viable.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) shall remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the application at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
